CVOA Announces VO-Con 2017 Agenda

August 22, 2017

VANCOUVER, CANADA (August 22, 2017) –VO-Con 2017,  the annual  Canadian Vacation Ownership Association’s (CVOA) vacation ownership conference, kicks off September 12 with a robust agenda of unique networking functions, stimulating industry education sessions and unusual key note speakers.

Day One (September 12) is devoted to the CVOA Board of Directors meeting and the Annual General Meeting open to all CVOA Members in good standing.  The afternoon will be devoted to optional activities and an afternoon of leisure organized by CVOA.  Choices of planned activities include a nature walk, bicycle tour, a visit to the Audain Art Museum or the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Center.  Networking Activities and Cocktail Reception begin at 7 p.m.

Day Two-- following a networking breakfast and opening remarks—will treat the attendees to a panel of CVOA Directors discussing the sate of the Canadian vacation industry from a broad geographic and industry diversity perspective.  The second panel of the morning will focus on best practice topics that relate directly to HOAs (Homeowners Associations).  For lunch, attendees will take the longest and highest lift in the world to Christine’s Restaurant at the Blackcomb Mountain Summit with Featured Keynote Speaker, Vikram Vij, noted chef, cookbook author and television personality.  The HOA panel will continue after lunch.  CVOA has then opened up the afternoon to leisure activities and time for individual business meetings.

Highlighting the third day will be the prestigious Cornerstone Award Presentation to an industry leader who has made a difference, as well as panel presentations and the closing keynote speaker Wayne Lee, a renowned comedic speaker who inspires and motivates through hypnotism.

“We’ve structured our event to leave plenty of time for networking, which attendees have historically told us is the most important aspect of the conference,” said Jon Zwickel, President and CEO of CVOA.  “Whistler is a spectacular place and mid-September weather is about as perfect as it gets.  We are looking forward to seeing our members and colleagues from all over North America and Mexico next month.”

With less than a month remaining before the conference kicks off, there are still a couple of sponsorship opportunities available. For more information contact Susan Friedline.

The conference is scheduled from September 12-14 at the Four Seasons Resort & Residences in Whistler, Canada.
