Government to extend pandemic small business loan repayment deadlines

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the government is extending the repayment deadline for its small business pandemic loan program by one year — but businesses will still lose the forgivable portion of the loan if they don't repay in the coming months.

FAA restores Mexico aviation to highest safety rating

The United States Federal Aviation Administration on Thursday returned Mexico’s aviation safety rating to the highest level two years after downgrading it.

The change will allow Mexican airlines to add new routes to the United States, and U.S. airlines will once again be able to sell tickets on Mexican airline-operated flights.

West Maui will reopen to travelers on Oct. 8

On Sep. 8, the one-month anniversary of the fires that devasted the Maui town of Lahaina, Hawaii Gov. Josh Green announced that travel restrictions to West Maui will be lifted beginning Oct. 8. With this update, travelers will be able to return to Kaanapali, Kapalua, Napili and other West Maui towns. Lahaina, however, will remain closed.
