Hawaii To Reopen West Maui Towns Early October

Hawaii governor Dr. Josh Green said the West Maui communities of Kā‘anapali, Nāpili, Honokōwai, and Kapalua, devastated by the wildfires in August, will reopen for business on Sunday, October 8.

The state tourism authority had asked visitors to please stay away from the West Maui communities, but the governor is now urging visitors to help rebuild by visiting.

Canada Warns Against LGBTQ Travel to the U.S.

Canada has issued a travel advisory to the United States, per National Public Radio, warning members of the LGBTQ community that some American states have enacted laws that may affect them if they choose to travel to the United States.

While the country’s Global Affairs department did not specify to which states it was referring, it did advise travelers to research local laws before traveling.
