Canada’s Prime Minister Mark Carney has announced he will give the go-ahead for private ownership of Toronto Pearson, Montreal Trudeau, Calgary and Vancouver airports, according to the Toronto Star.

Carney made the announcemnt at the two-day Canada Investment Summit in Toronto, where he is seeking $1 trillion in investment in infrastructure over the next five years.

Flair Airlines is adding Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic, to its network this winter, launching new nonstop service from both Montréal and Toronto to one of the Caribbean’s leading vacation destinations.
Beginning December 18, Flair will fly nonstop from Montréal (YUL) to Puerto Plata (POP) twice weekly, followed by service from Toronto (YYZ) beginning December 19, operating up to twice weekly. Puerto Plata is an entirely new destination for Flair, expanding its winter sun offering from both markets with air-only fares and Flair Vacations packages.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has proposed opening a path for Canada to become the European Union’s (EU) first “associate member.” As U.S. President Donald Trump pushes further on economic and annexation threats against Canada, von der Leyen said Wednesday Canada and the EU would build on their existing free trade agreement with a broader “alliance for the future.”
